Live formatting on an amount field is how you lose a digit. Regroup the thousands separators on every keystroke and the caret quietly slides out from under the person typing. We leave the text alone during entry and group on blur. If a rewrite is unavoidable, put the caret back after the same digits it followed before. https://shipmindlabs.com/c/269160b9
