What someone knows matters less to us than what they do when the requirement is missing.
So our task is deliberately underspecified: no stated behaviour for a failed callback. Juniors pick one and ship. Seniors ask who owns the retry, or they write the assumption down in the PR. Same code either way, and the difference is whether the gap got named.
That gap is probably the thing a CV cannot show you.
